A large Gear box company based out of Italy with multiple manufacturing locations was facing a stiff challenge of handling the Multi format legacy design data and moving them to a parametric CAD platform along with configurable designs. They approached Changepond to help them address these issues.
Approach
- Changepond Engineers were trained on standards and product at client location (Europe)
- Started with small projects and subsequently to larger projects
- Mapped the standards of all the customer locations
- Onsite Engineer visiting various locations to collect the data and information on product and process
- Established a Quality Control & Communication process
Present Status
- Migrated the complete legacy drawings (50000+) to a 3D CAD platform
- Reduction in Engineering cost
- Established modelling & Detailing standards applicable to multiple locations
